The desert winds blow from OCTAN. Will you confront the Great Wizard and earn your freedom? Or die to the jaws of a lizard on the shoulder of a long-abandoned highway?

OCTAN is a role-playing game with a dark fantasy theme. Build your character using powerful magic items you find, and discover different ways to evade and defeat enemies ranging from marine parasites to floating magic hands.

Explore a surreal world of conflict and culture, and be horrified by what you find there.

Development

OCTAN is in early access, so it's incomplete but free. It was created over about four months from Dec 2024 to April 2025.

I hope to continue to work on it and mostly improve the visual look and sound of the game, which is rudimentary at this time, as well as adding more content.
